Assorted Craft Or Seaweed Punchers

Saw this cute mini craft puncher at IMM Daiso. It's idea for using as a craft design or to punch seaweed for bento usage. (updated: 19 September 2009)

These 6 different Smiley Punchers is directly from Japan when one of my friend brought it back to me during her visit to Singapore. These puncher are slightly bigger in size than those that I bought from local bookstore. This is mainly seaweed puncher which use to decorate bigger items.

These are the small and mini size of the Carla Craft Punches that I bought from Popular Bookstore. Actually they have about 3 different sizes but I only bought the the mini craft punchers which I use to it to punch nori sheet to decorate the feature expression of the small animals or items in the bento. Eg. Bearish Bread.

Today I saw this new series of craft puncher from Daiso. They only left about 4 design on the shelf. After choosing for sometime, we decided to take these two which is the cloves and cat design.

Assorted Bento Food Cutters I

Assorted Sausage/Wiener Cutters, this is a headache one. I had this very cute cutter that I can't seems to use it right. Whenever I wanted to cut the wiener using it, the result it always not good... either the wiener got stuck in the cutter or the outline is not visible :( I am also not sure what went wrong or is it the way I handle the products.

Alphabet Cheese & Vegetable Cutters , this mini alphabet cutter is great for making names in bento. I am sure the kid will love to see their name appear on it...... :)

Bear, Rabbit & Flower Cutter, this is very idea for making kid's sandwiches which you can use it to cut cheese, ham and bread. I used this to make a Jungle Bento for my dear son.


Bear & Rabbit Square Cutter Plates, other than the main characters on the plate, you can also see the assorted side design which allows you to cut stars, clouds, tiny circles and etc which is a great idea for decorating the bento.(click on the link to view the pic)......

Multi-purpose Decoration Cutters which is similar to the Facial Expression Cutter. It come in a set of 3 different design.

3 Rings Assorted Feature Expression Cutters, this is a gem for me.. hehe.. as it will allow you to cut different kinds of facial expression which allow the kid to choose what kind of design they prefer for their bento. I am sure this will come in handy when making facial expression other than using craft punchers.

This is my new collection of Multi-purpose Quail Eggs cutter which is use to decorate Quail Eggs. It come in a set of 2 cutters for making different kinds of farm animals and a simley face puncher. Like what shoppingmum has mention in her blogpost the smiley puncher seems to get stuck easily and it's quiet difficult to punch the nori with it. Hope I can also get hold of the mini caral smiley puncher soon... :) You can take a look at this Mother's Day bento on how we made the quail farm animals using this cutter.(update:02.05.09)

Baking Utensils II

Saw these new Silicon Moulds from Daiso last Saturday, so I just grab and add them into my collection. They come in 3 assorted designs: star, heart and flower shapes. I got the 2 small moulds in one set type instead of a medium mould by itself. These are great for making individual portion of cake, pudding or dessert.

This Food Hygiene Sheet is to lay either on top or bottom of the bento box to contain food. I usually lay it at the bottom on the bento box is if i am placing oily stuff so that it's easier for me to wash the box.

You can get these assorted design bento food picks from most of the Daiso in Singapore. Sometime by adding these cute and fun design food picks to your bento dish, it will actually help to bring out the design and also the story behind the bento prepartion. This is great way of attracting kids to pick up the food......

A Pack of 30 Assorted Chinese 12 Zodiac Animals, but the strange thing is I can't find any mouse in this set of animals to complete the 12 Zodiac Sign.

Kitchen Gadget

Saw this interesting Steamer Rack from Ikea which come with an extension handler which made it easier to remove from the woke or pan. Another good point of this steamer rack is that it allows you to close the side of the panel and fold into a smaller portion for keeping after use. (update: 26.07.2009)

Saw this BlueSky brand Waffle Maker on sale at Carrefour today for S$16.00. And after hearing and see so many good comments on homemade waffle, I decided to get a set of this to make some waffle for weekend breafast too... :0 (update: 21.03.09)

Upon most reader requested, I have now post a picture of my Philip Oven Toaster which I have used it to do quick bake for most of my Quick and Easy Meal in my post. eg:

Mini Bamboo Steamer from Daiso. I bought this little mini Dim Sum style bamboo steamer from Daiso which I use it to steam small bao or steam small portion of steam meal which is more convenient and effective.

This small Gyoza wrapping mould come with a little spoon which enable you to scoop the filing into the mould and wrap. I have yet to try out this mould before I have verify whether is it good and easy to use and the end result of the Gyoza.

Saw the assorted design Metal Stencils from Daiso which can be use on either making fancy design on coffee using cocoa powder or you can also use it on cake or rice to make cute effect.

This is another type of Coffee Stencils. Instead of the above metal design, this packet come in a set of 3 different designs which are made from wood. (update: 01.05.09)

This is one of the kind of those fancy oil paper for absorbing deep-fried stuffs in most of the Japanese serving dish. They do come in different texture, colour and size.

In Daiso, you can find all kind of design and size of cake boxes which you can use it to put cake, muffins, cupcake or etc. It's rather useful and nice if you wan to give away your bakes as gift.
